Cathedral Cove – Oil Painting
This is a small painting depicting the beautiful sail rock at Hahei’s Cathedral Cove. It is a popular spot on the Coromandel Peninsula about three and a half or four hours drive from Auckland City. This painting follows the theme of many of my New Zealand works, embodying the Maori motifs embedded into the landscape.

I just love your abstract work, I think this picture of Cathedral Cove is beautiful
Thanks Judith – this is one of those works that just flowed right from the beginning. Sometimes they just do that – if only they all did LOL!

do you remember me from the ettalong classes?
Hi Judith I do remember you – absloutely – I am still teaching – from my studio at Springfield now. Its been many years since I taught at Ettalong. Are you still painting? I would love to see what you are doing now if you are. Perhaps you are still doing classes at Ettalong?
I live in Camden now, which is too far away from Ettalong, but I still paint, I have just entered a painting o f giraffes in the Camden Show. I said to my friend recently, I wish I could ask Bernadette ( I only knew you by that name)what I need to do with this picture, and thats when I decided to look for you on the internet. I have become inspired again by you.
Cool. Your blog looks great, and I’m glad i’ve found something here worth adding to my favorites.
