Currently, as I’ve moved recently and my space has looked like a tornado went through it, I have had to settle for something a little simpler than painting. Charcoal landscapes seemed to fit the bill. Here are a couple of works I’ve done. The first was worked up with charcoal and the second with graphite – a very slippery and un-userfriendly medium!
Both of these works, are an attempt to delve into the spirit of the landscape and express something deeper, discarding the initial image in favour of something found within.
